Our accompaniment model
Mentoring Medic is not a clinic, nor a surgeon, nor a travel agency. We are a strategic and logistical support firm specializing in patients who decide to undergo aesthetic procedures in Colombia.
Our role is to
- Guide in the informed selection of the surgeon and institution.
- Coordinate the administrative and logistical process.
- Supervise the fulfillment of pre- and post-operative protocols.
- Provide human and organizational support during the stay.
- Maintain subsequent remote follow-up according to the defined plan.
What we DO NOT do
- We do not perform medical acts.
- We do not replace the doctor-patient relationship.
- We do not issue diagnoses or clinical indications.
- We do not intervene in surgical decisions.
Protocol in case of complications
Plastic surgery, even in expert hands, carries risks. That's why we operate under a clear, structured, and transparent protocol.
Before the procedure
- Verification of institutional authorization.
- Confirmation of registered specialty.
- Review of the patient's medical history.
- Evaluation of surgical fitness criteria.
During the stay
- Coordination of postoperative check-ups.
- Monitoring for warning signs.
- Immediate activation of contact with the medical team in case of any eventuality.
After the patient's return to their country
- Scheduled virtual follow-up.
- Direct channel with the treating team.
- Guidance for local medical attention if necessary.
The foreign patient acknowledges that their coverage is limited to the amount of the contracted policy and that local health systems will not cover excesses for elective aesthetic surgeries.
