Professional Selection and Validation Manual

Objective: to ensure that recommended professionals meet the minimum legal and technical criteria required in Colombia.

This process seeks to provide traceability, order, and document validation before recommending a professional or institution within Mentoring Medic's structured accompaniment.

Scope of our validation

We verify that the professional and the institution comply with minimum legal requirements, in a documented and periodic manner.

We do not replace official bodies or issue our own certifications regarding medical specialties.

  • Specialist degree in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Active registration in RETHUS.
  • No known active sanctions in the Medical Ethics Tribunal at the time of affiliation.

The validation is aimed at confirming minimum professional practice requirements within the Colombian legal framework.

2. Requirements for the surgical institution

  • Current authorization from the Secretariat of Health.
  • Compliance with hospital safety regulations.
  • Anesthesia protocols with an anesthesiology specialist.
  • Post-anesthesia recovery unit.

Mentoring Medic carries out a periodic process of document review and verification of validity to maintain minimum traceability of recommended professionals and institutions.

  • Annual document review.
  • Confirmation of current institutional authorization.
  • Request for policy updates.
  • Periodic verification in public professional registration databases.

Our function is not to replace the regulatory authority.
It is to verify, document, and reduce uncertainty within the process.

Responsible recommendation begins with document validation

Structured accompaniment requires verifying not only the professional but also the institutional environment in which the procedure will take place.
