Mentoring Medic is an organizational structure specializing in the logistical coordination and administrative support of elective surgical procedures in Colombia.

We are not a healthcare provider institution. We do not perform medical acts. We do not substitute the doctor-patient relationship.

Our role is structural and organizational.

About the concept of mentoring

The term "Mentoring" refers to structured guidance in decision-making and process organization.

It does not imply direct medical supervision or responsibility for clinical outcomes.

It is an organizational, not a clinical, model.

1. Clear separation of responsibilities

Responsibility for the following aspects rests exclusively with the Treating Surgeon and the authorized hospital institution where the procedure is performed:

  • Medical evaluation.
  • Indication for the procedure.
  • Surgical technique.
  • Anesthetic management.
  • Intraoperative decisions.
  • Clinical postoperative management.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of complications.
  • Aesthetic results.
The doctor-patient relationship is direct between the healthcare professional and the patient.

Mentoring Medic does not intervene in clinical decisions or the execution of medical acts.

2. Actual scope of our support

Mentoring Medic guarantees:

  • Organization of the surgical process.
  • Coordination of medical schedules.
  • Documentary verification of institutional authorization.
  • Administrative activation of the policy when applicable.
  • Logistical structuring of postoperative care.
  • Organized communication channel.

We do not guarantee:

  • Specific aesthetic results.
  • Specific body transformations.
  • Absolute absence of risks or complications.
Cosmetic surgery is an elective medical procedure with inherent risks.

3. No guarantee of aesthetic outcome

Surgical results depend on multiple individual factors:

  • Biological conditions.
  • Inflammatory response.
  • Scarring.
  • Patient habits.
  • Compliance with medical instructions.
Mentoring Medic offers no guarantees of beauty or promises of predetermined results.

Our commitment is structural: organization, protocols, and clarity.

4. Surgeon's technical autonomy

The Treating Surgeon maintains absolute technical autonomy to:

  • Modify the surgical plan.
  • Cancel the procedure for medical reasons.
  • Define postoperative management.
  • Determine the need for reintervention.
Mentoring Medic does not condition or direct clinical decisions.

5. Management of complications

In case of medical complications:

  • Care is provided by the treating medical team.
  • The hospital institution is responsible within its legal framework.
  • The insurance company is responsible according to the policy contract.

Mentoring Medic will act exclusively as a logistical and communication facilitator.

6. Medical tourism and jurisdiction

For international patients:

  • The procedure is performed under Colombian regulations.
  • The applicable jurisdiction is Colombian.
  • Medical responsibility is governed by the laws of Colombia.
Mentoring Medic assumes no responsibility for subsequent medical care provided outside Colombian territory.

7. Final institutional statement

Mentoring Medic does not guarantee beauty results.

What we do guarantee

Safety protocols, organization, and structured support.

Surgery is performed in the operating room.
The structure is built before and after.

Both areas are distinct and should be understood as such.
